Sami : High School Senior Session

How in the world is the summer already over?  There is new incoming senior class and I am so excited to be able to have several senior sessions lined up over the next couple weeks.  To me, there is something so awesome about documenting high school seniors.  It is that crazy time in their lives where they are starting to leave their childhood behind and looking towards becoming an adult and making a plan to achieve their dreams.  My goal with every session is to help give these seniors the confidence to feel great about who they are as an individuals,  to believe in themselves and nuture their amazing potential at such an important time in their lives.

I’ve known Sami since the day she was born so for me this opportunity was so much more than just a senior session.  My sweet cousin has grown up 16 hours away in Iowa with a large part of my extended family.  Unfortunately that meant our visits were sometimes years apart and before I knew it this adorable little girl had grown up to an amazingly beautiful woman!  She is strong, smart, full of life and just so much fun to be around.  This summer our families rented duplexes on the North Carolina coast and spent an entire week catching up.  I couldn’t resist taking a day trip to Wilmington to get in a session at the beautiful Riverfront in downtown Wilmington.  We of course had to work in breaks for stops at my favorite local eateries and I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend my birthday!!  Sami, I love you so much and you are going to do amazing things with your life.  I’m so proud of you!
