First off let me say how much we LOVE football in our house. Mostly college and I’m pretty much the biggest fan of a future superstar who is working his way through the ranks of a Pop Warner league at the moment. So, when Matt and Chelsea shared with me at their engagement session the possibility of having their rehearsal dinner at the Philadelphia Eagles Stadium…lets be honest I had a bit of a freak out moment. As their wedding day grew closer and the plans were finalized I was let in on a few extra secrets that were in store for the bride and groom that I knew would make this a night Matt and Chelsea nor any of their guests would ever forget!
Shortly following the rehearsal we all boarded a bus to Lincoln Financial Center and were treated to a dinner of delicious stadium food including soft pretzels, hot dogs and of course Philly cheese steaks. After dinner we were all invited to take a tour of the stadium, which included visiting the locker rooms and a stop for a press conference in the media room where we were greeted by Eagles cheerleaders. To top off the night Matt and Chelsea were cheered through the tunnel, busting through a personalized banner and onto the football field. The Eagles’ mascot Swoop even came to celebrate and grabbed the cheerleaders’ pom poms to start an impromptu game with the groomsmen. Of course what would a rehearsal dinner be without a good slide show of the happy couple? Not even that could be left out as memories from their childhood through their engagement were played on the jumbotron for all to enjoy! As the night came to a close we were able to gather everyone into the stands to sit in Matt and his dad’s seats to take in the stadium for one last time. I think Matt and Chelsea officially win for the most epic rehearsal dinner ever! Thank you so much for inviting us to come along for the ride!!
