Let me count the ways...to start EVERY single flavor of the macarons are to die for, then there is the baklava cheesecake, the gluten-free almond tart, the lotus cake, then there is the almond cake, oh and all of the above must be paired with a chai tea latte. Happy Friday!! I wanted to say hey and introduce m Happy Friday!! I wanted to say hey and introduce myself to anyone who may be new here - I’m Amber, and I'm the heart behind AFSP. I am a mom, wife, educator, authentic storyteller, and a Disney fanatic! Humm...maybe that is where my love of storytelling comes from? This week I took my daughter to go see The Little Mermaid with her best friend and her mom and let me tell you...I felt like a kid all over again. Did I mention I love musicals? Like for real, for real love them. My daughter and I can sing every word to every song in Hamilton and cried when we got to see it in person last year. So naturally when I found out that my favorite movie of all time was being reimagined with the help of Lin-Manuel Miranda, Halle Bailey as Ariel, and Daveed Diggs as Sebastian I was pretty much sold. Y'all REPRESENTATION MATTERS and this was so beautifully done. I pretty much point to my love of this movie as the reason I feel I had to have been a mermaid in a past life. Sigh...only four more weeks until I get to put my fins, I mean toes in the ocean again.⁠ .⁠ Do you have any fun plans for this weekend? This year it’s a bit bittersweet as I remember the chaos, the joy, and the excitement our family was feeling getting ready for our oldest to graduate.
